What’s In A Name . . .
Published by Daddy Red, under About Little Rianne. 14 Comments.
When the baby reached the last trimester in the womb, a lot of things come to our mind but the most worrying part is what name to give to our little angel. If it is for the most important person in the universe, you would want it to be the best. But I would admit that i am never good at names. The last time i gave a name to a pet was when i was still five years old and i confess, it was never a good one. So it was a very challenging activity for us newbie parents to be in.
There were plenty of suggestions from family and friends (thank you very much) some of them were good names and some sounded funny. We did search hundreds of names on the internet and what it means. In a way, meaning for us is important, which makes it more difficult. To add some more challenge, thanks to those who have insisted, we both later agreed that our initials should be in the baby’s name. And because we didnt intend to know the sex of the baby before birth, we had to prepare two names - for a boy and a girl.
It was not until the 8th month that we found out about the sex of our baby, thank God we have to think of only one name. During the regular checkup with the OB-Gyne, our doctor thought the baby is just a little bit bigger than expected and had adviced us for a sonograph. Below is the Ultrasound Image of her.

So after months of discussion and research we have decided to name our little angel:
Ashley Rianne
Ashley (ash-lee) is derived from Old English words ‘æsc’ (ash) and ‘leah’ (wood). Ash trees are very strong wood which in fact was used to make spades during the medieval times. The trees, especially the White Ash variety, are a favourite among landscape artist because of its beauty. It is also a fast-growing, low-care, multipurpose landscape tree that adapts to almost any conditions.
Rianne (ri-an) is a name derived from the celtics which means Little Queen.
Combining the two names, it means a strong Little Queen who is so beautiful and practical that can adapt to almost any conditions. Thus the name: Ashley Rianne
A name is not just a name, and im very sure, from my own realization, our parents gave us the best name in the universe. Our name is has reason and has meaning. So what’s your’s?

My Name is Redentor, a spanish word which means redeemer. At least it’s true to those who encounter problems with their computer.
Redentor, deliver us from evil virus attacks, System bugs, email and internet problems. Amen.

Nurse Emy, as she wants to be called, was surprised that the baby was trying to stand on her own feet. She’s a strong baby, she exclaimed. We hope she will always be strong - a quality of the ash trees. [...]
